Circular STEM prepares young people to lead in the circular economy. It designs solutions and products that last, that reuse materials, and that solve social and environmental problems. Here is a sample of how children are taught to think about their building materials.
At the end of a building challenge, instead of throwing everything into a garbage bag, the students carefully look at all materials and give their design a score. How circular is their design? Can any materials be recovered to be reused?
